The OWM Banking and Finance Group represents financial institutions and other businesses in real estate and commercial lending.

Our attorneys have negotiated and documented many types of traditional real estate financing on behalf of commercial lenders, including construction loans and permanent financing.  OWM attorneys have closed loans secured by many different kinds of collateral, including multi-family, retail,office, nursing homes and industrial properties.

OWM attorneys have also negotiated and documented a wide variety of commercial finance transactions secured by non-real estate collateral.  Those loans include revolving credit and term loans and asset-based secured loans.

Firm attorneys have also handled issues pertaining to the assignment and participation of our clients' loans.

OWM attorneys are also experienced in workout, recovery and bankruptcy transactions related to loans made by financial institutions and other lenders.  By negotiating and documenting workout transactions or exercising a wide range of creditors' remedies, our attorneys assist clients in the repayment of debts and recovery of collateral.  Firm attorneys regularly represent secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy cases filed under Chapters 7, 11 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code.
